Witnesses

“Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.“ Proverbs 20:22 (ESV)

Our world is a court room and God has appointed us as His witnesses not as our own judge and jury. Without Christ in our hearts, it’s easy to become obsessed with revenge, rather than leaving it in the hands of the One who will exact ultimate judgment. When we wait for God to deal with it, we allow for lasting justice and we preserve ourselves from going down with them.

Let’s pray today that we would serve as God’s witness and allow God to execute judgement.
