Your Father in Heaven
“Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” Psalm 27:10 (NIV)
If you are living life without your parent’s presence, love, or involvement turn to your Father in Heaven. The God of Creation waits with open arms as a righteous Father who desires to care, help, and lead His children. Your parents may have not painted a clear picture for you of God’s love, but for whatever reason, remind yourself that they were human and your Heavenly Father is not.
It is often said that after our parents die there is an odd sense of feeling orphaned, even as an older adult. However, we need to remind ourselves that we have been adopted into the family of God and prayer is how we call home.
Let’s pray today that our parent’s good influence will live on and our Father God will be glorified.
