A Humble Nation
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
Our nation is lost without a people willing to humble themselves before the God who forgives and heals. A humble heart is willing to lay aside self and receive the Savior Jesus Christ. Being humble is how we get honest with our sin and how we desire the righteousness of Christ and the grace of Calvary, and that is how we influence our nation for His Kingdom.
Men can not turn from their pride and pursuit of political power without the conviction of the Holy Spirit descending upon them, and that is why we must labor for those who lead through prayer and intercession.
Let’s pray today that we will back down from self exultation and humbly stand at Calvary.
