Future Rewards
“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)
Doing the right thing takes courage and being courageous starts when we recognize the reward is future. The lazy man wants the pay day before the work week and the reaping before the sowing. However for the godly man and woman facing challenges, they seek God’s glory now by knowing their rewards in the future.
It is human to want to walk away, to want the easy way, or to resist the longest path, but we are not aiming for an earthly award — we are putting our sights on an eternal life in an eternal home where the trials of this world will be no more.
Let’s pray today to find courage in our Lord’s strength and be patient for a reward in heaven.
