Merciful God

“For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.” Daniel 9:18 (ESV)

We do not pray to God because of our importance to Heaven, but because of God’s mercifulness to us. We are nothing without Him and when we pray it has nothing to do with what we can offer or what we have done in order to be heard. The God of the Bible offers His hearing ear because He is love, He is righteous, and He is merciful toward us.

Let’s pray today knowing that our God is the God of mercy and that is why we pray to Him.
