“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 (ESV)
We may wonder why a promise seems slow to be realized, but slow does not mean it isn’t going to happening. The word of the Lord goes forth to His people as a clear vision of the future and God’s Word is sure, certain, and the only trustworthy thing we have to cherish on this earth. His word is our hope, encouragement, and power and always worth the wait. When we read God’s promised words in the Bible we have no reason to delay or hesitate because it does not lie.
Let’s pray today that we may not lose faith in the promises of God, but continue to claim them.
