“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NIV)
We may wonder why a promise seems slow to be realized, but slow does not mean it isn’t going to happening. The word of the Lord goes forth to His people as a clear vision of the future and God’s Word is sure, certain, and the only trustworthy thing we have to cherish on this earth. His word is our hope, encouragement, and power and always worth the wait. When we read God’s promised words in the Bible we have no reason to doubt them because they will come to pass.
The promises of God are sure, certain, and unhindered by anyone. They are dependent upon God’s will and their timing is in God’s hands, but we must know that they will come to fruition according to the Lord’s divine timetable for our life.
Let’s pray today that we may not lose faith in the promises of God, but continue to claim them.
