“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18 (ESV)
The message of Calvary is scoffed at by those who know they can’t refute its power in a believer’s lives. The transformation that the gospel brings to a sinner seeking forgiveness is too often an affront to those seeking affirmation for their own sinful choices. Seeing changes in another is evidence that the message of Calvary’s grace is true.
If we are free with communicating our praise of the Lord’s mercy and blessings in our lives, those who hunger for Christ will be attracted to our testimony. Those who are uninterested in things of God will turn from us as they have Christ.
Let’s pray today that our testimony for our Lord will bring conviction that Calvary’s grace is true.
