Grace at Calvary
“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (CSB)
Salvation is not a paycheck, a contract, a dividend, a reward for anything done – it’s the free grace of Calvary. Grace is a new birth through faith, not by returning to the womb, but because Christ Jesus left the tomb. We are forgiven by His grace and we are saved by faith, and we accept that just as we receive a gift from a friend, a name from our family, life from our father, and birthing from our mother.
Let’s pray today that we may all accept the grace of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins.
