Christian Maturity
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
In our Christian maturity it’s easier to recognize a younger version of ourselves in others, and extend mercy to them. Non-believers tend to be very critical of others who possess the same unlikeable character traits, as if they can abolish from other’s what they can’t in themselves. As followers of the Lord we want to grow closer to Him in His likeness.
We search our motives, actions, and reactions to life around us but one we sin we should be quick to seek forgiveness. As forgiven believers we have every reason to be grateful for our Lord’s mercy and quick to extend that to others.
Let’s pray today that we may extend grace and kindness to others just as Christ has and does for us.
