“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
In our Christian maturity it’s easier to recognize a younger version of ourselves in others, and extend mercy to them. Non-believers tend to be very critical of others who possess the same unlikeable character traits, as if they can abolish from other’s what they can’t in themselves. But we are believers, and we have every reason to be grateful of our Lord’s forgiveness for our own shortcomings.
Let’s pray today that we may extend grace and kindness to others just as Christ has and does for us.
