Strong in Christ
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)
Don’t evaluate your spiritual stamina before deciding to follow Jesus because you’re weak, but He is strong for you. You are a fallen sinful human being and your success in following Jesus Christ is not up to your strength but His. You claim His strength through faith, and when you take your eyes off Him and sink, you claim His redemption and refocus again on His strength, not yours.
Spiritual strength is spiritual. Your fuel is simply fixing your eyes on Jesus through frequent prayer, reading and meditating on Scripture, and encouraging one another in their journey of staying strong in Christ.
Let’s pray today for the Holy Spirit to help us to find our strength in Him alone.
