Sanctified by Grace
“And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Acts 20:32 (ESV)
The sanctified life of a Christian is not about adherence to works but about growing in Christ’s grace. If you can be obedient to religious laws then you’ll have no need to be saved by Christ’s righteousness for forgiveness of sins. God doesn’t seek the self-righteous for His heaven because they won’t like a place where everyone else is a sinner saved by grace.
The Christian is not one by membership in a church organization, but by sanctification from believing in the promises of Christ’s grace through the word of God. We live like we trust in Christ’s grace.
Let’s pray today to not be discouraged by our sins but run to Christ for grace.
